CMU Investment Office

The Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Investment Office manages over $2 billion of endowment assets. CMU’s endowment supports a meaningful portion of the university’s current operations.

CMU’s endowment is a mature portfolio that is both global in nature and broadly diversified across a variety of asset classes. The Investment Office seeks to maintain long-term relationships with a limited number of best-in-class managers. As such, the Investment Office is highly selective when evaluating new investment opportunities for the endowment.

If you are an investment firm or a placement agent, please submit your prospective investment opportunity for review by clicking on the following link:

We ask that you make only one submission. Please note that no meetings or calls will be scheduled prior to the completion of an initial review of your online submission.

Each online investment submission will be reviewed in due course. Owing to limitations in staff personnel, time and capital available for new investments, staff will only contact you if there is mutual interest in proceeding further.

Due to the high volume of prospective investments, please allow the Investment Office two to three weeks to review your submission. We ask that you do not call the Investment Office during this process. We thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Thank you for your interest in Carnegie Mellon.

Sincerely,
The Investment Office
